Team Principal Marko Bertogna, Full Professor at University of Modena

Based in Italy’s “Motor Valley”, Unimore is a team with racing “in its blood”. The evolution of a lab from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Unimore Racing is a proudly Italian team with a long track record in autonomy stretching back a decade. It draws experience from many backgrounds, including computer science, robotics, vehicle dynamics and control, leveraging these skills to push its racing systems to the limit. 

Unimore believes that A2RL represents one of the best ways to test and improve the robustness and safety of the autonomous driving software, while handling the car close to its limit. In Season 1, Unimore was a consistent top performer. For Season 2, it's hoping to focus on reliability and robustness, preparing its systems to drive in almost all conditions to surpass human lap times.
